Hiram Bell is a native Hawaiian born and raised in Honolulu. He has been teaching the ukulele for more then 15 years and has developed a method of teaching that fascilitates faster learning. Biscuits and Blues Presents… 
Hiram Bell In Concert

Come join me for some fun, food and friends at the Biscuits and Blues Union Room. It is a great venue for music in the heart of San Francisco. Located accross from the A.C.T Theatre, parking is validated if you aren’t lucky to find street parking. I will be performing original as well as standard covers of various styles of music on my tenor ukulele.  As usual, there will be some sing-alongs and dancing. I will also be taking request of your favorite songs. You never know what to expect if you came and see my show, even I am surprised! Come and join in the music and fun and bring your friends.  The Freight and Salvage
 
I am teaching 2 classes at The Freight and Salvage in Berkeley Beginning Sept 16/Wednesday. Private lessons are also available. Classes will be fun, relaxing and of course, therapeutic. Get high on the uke.
Beginning Ukulele w/Hiram Bell
Wednesdays -(Six Week Session)-6:30 to 8:00 pm-$120.00
The ukulele is a fun and easy instrument to play. Its distinctive sound has intrigued people worldwide for many years. Today it enjoys a soaring popularity! This 6-week session will cover the basics of playing an ukulele. Emphasis will be on the following topics: fundamentals and rudiments of music; notation and tablature; chords and chord progressions; strumming and picking technique; major and minor scales; improvisation.

Intermediate Ukulele w/ Hiram Bell
Wednesdays -(Six Week Session)-8:15 to 9:45 pm-$120.00
Not just a novelty instrument, the ukulele has made strides towards higher forms of musical interpretation. Originally relegated to the role of ballad accompaniment, the uke has now become a front instrument. This course will cover skills needed to perform more challenging music. Topics include the following: music theory, spelling chords, arrangements and compositions, strumming and picking, modal scales, improvisation.
